Merge PDF

Combine multiple PDF files into one document.

Files are never stored — deleted immediately after processing.

Merging joins separate PDFs into one continuous document. Page order follows the file order you set — drag the thumbnails to rearrange before hitting Merge. There are no limits on how many files you can combine, as long as the total stays under 50MB.

Common questions

Can I merge PDF files for free online?
Yes. EmergePDF's PDF merger is completely free with no signup, no account, and no watermarks on the output.
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
No hard limit on file count, but total size must be under 50MB.
Are my files stored?
No. Files are never stored — they are processed and deleted immediately. We never read your documents.
Does merging preserve bookmarks and links?
Internal links within each document are preserved. Cross-document bookmarks are not carried over into the merged file.
Can I merge PDFs with different page sizes?
Yes. Pages keep their original dimensions — A4 and Letter-size pages can coexist in one merged PDF.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. Remove the password protection from each file before merging.
Will the merged PDF have watermarks?
No. The output is a clean PDF with no watermarks added.
Can I change the page order before merging?
Yes. Drag the file thumbnails into the order you want before clicking Merge.
