Privacy Policy

We don't have accounts, so we don't collect personal information. Your files are either processed entirely in your browser (Fill PDF) or processed on our servers and deleted immediately (Split, Merge, Compress, PDF to Word). We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — that's it.

No accounts. EmergePDF has no login system, so we don't collect names, email addresses, or passwords.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used — which tools are popular, rough geographic distribution, and session length. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify individual users. You can opt out using a browser extension like uBlock Origin or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

No ad tracking. We don't use cookies for advertising and don't share data with ad networks.

Fill PDF (sign, annotate, whiteout): runs entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device. We have no access to it at any point.

Split, Merge, Compress, PDF to Word: files are uploaded to our servers for processing, then deleted immediately after your download is ready. No human reads your documents. Files are not backed up, logged, or retained.

HTTPS. All connections to EmergePDF are encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Unencrypted HTTP connections are automatically redirected.

File handling. Files processed by server-side tools (Split, Merge, Compress, PDF to Word) are handled in memory and deleted immediately after processing completes. They are not written to permanent disk storage, backed up, or logged.

Security headers. EmergePDF sets X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, and Referrer-Policy headers on all responses to protect against common web vulnerabilities.

Infrastructure. The site is hosted on Vercel, which is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. See Vercel's security page for details.

• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure. Files processed on our servers pass through Vercel's infrastructure. See Vercel's privacy policy.

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. We won't notify you by email because we don't have your email address.
